Homeowners Michael and Jen had a decent paver patio. Perhaps it was showing some signs of age, but overall it was functional. Unfortunately, sometimes functional is just not good enough. They dreamed of transforming their patio into a spectacular outdoor living space. Somewhere their son in high school could hang out with his friends, as well as for them to host outdoor parties for family and friends.
What we did:
With our guidance, they were able to turn their ideas into a complete visual design. We used varying paver patterns and colors, created multiple levels allowing for a smooth transition from the back door height to the ground level of the yard. We added a classic brick pizza oven and anchored it to a granite and stone cooking area, where Michael and Jen are able to create culinary masterpieces for their guests.

Most projects can be completed in a few days. More complex projects can take a few weeks, depending on the scope of the project. Occasionally projects are delayed due to inclement weather, but we always do our best to minimize surprises and keep you informed. Our team will never abandon someone else’s project to begin yours. And we will never disappear from your project to start working on another.

A balanced treatment to promote early spring green up and recover from winter damage, also thickens your lawn to prevent future weed problems. Plus, a Pre-Emergent that creates a barrier on your lawn to help prevent Crabgrass, Foxtail, Oxalis, Spurge and other annual grasses and annual weeds from germinating. Keep in mind that Pre-Emergent does not prevent broadleaf weeds.

An application of time-released nitrogen which improves your lawn’s color and density and prepares your lawn for summer stress. Plus a Blanket application of broadleaf weed control for dandelions and all your broadleaf weed concerns.

A Granular time-released balanced treatment, very important during the heat and stress of summer to maintain your lawn’s color and improve turf vigor. Plus spot treatment of any weeds.

Also a “Preventative” insecticide, (which is activated by water) is absorbed by your turf and stored in the root system. THE TIMING OF THIS APPLICATION IS VERY IMPORTANT AND CAN NOT BE OVERLOOKED. DO NOT APPLY BEFORE JUNE 15TH OR AFTER AUGUST 1ST OR YOU MAY NOT GET THE RESULTS YOU EXPECT.

Landscape design can be a considerable investment as it is one that should add value to your home. Our projects usually start around $4500 and increase from there based on individual preferences, project scope, and items desired. A part of our service is helping homeowners manage the overall project budget from start to finish so no unexpected surprises come up.
The design process (from the initial consultation and site evaluation to the concept review meeting, and then to the final design presentation) can typically be completed in 10-12 weeks depending on the season and the complexity of the design. In the spring and summer you may find times increase as we get busier. For more detailed information on the landscape design process click here.
In general, a garden design includes 3 major phases. First is the Design Brief, a basic overview of your project, and many ideas to consider. Second is the Outline Plan, which provides a scaled complete layout of all the areas, surfaces, materials, and features. The final phase is installation, where we manage the entire process for you from start to finish.
